Srinagar, Sep 22 (KNO): In a historic and spiritually uplifting moment, the sacred Shardiya Navratri Puja was performed for the first time in recorded history at the revered Shankaracharya Temple in Kashmir.
This landmark event was led by Swami Govind Anand Saraswati Maharaj, the esteemed President of the Sri Hanumad Janmabhoomi Treta Kshetra Trust.
Adding to the significance of the occasion, the Chief Secretary of Jammu & Kashmir also graced the event with his presence, reflecting the state administration’s commitment to preserving and promoting the rich spiritual and cultural heritage of the region.
The Navratri Puja, a nine-day celebration dedicated to the divine feminine, was conducted with full Vedic rituals and chants, overlooking the majestic Dal Lake from one of the most ancient and sacred sites in India. The presence of devotees, spiritual leaders, and government officials marked a new chapter in the temple’s religious history.
